The Camp Classic Basketball Tournament all began with Arnold Brown in 1994 until 1996 in Rosalia, Washington. The tourney had 8 high school boys teams and 8 high school girls teams per week for five weeks in the month of July each year, returning for more and more fantastic games of basketball.

High School Basketball Champions

In 2003, Arnold Brown returned to his alma mater, Medical Lake High School in Washington.  He took the job of Head Boys Basketball Coach where he restarted the Camp Classic Tournaments. From 2003-2004 the tournaments started with 8 high school boys and 8 high school girls teams per week for five weeks in the month of July. In 2004 - 2005, the tournament grew to 16 high school boys and 16 high school girls teams per week for five weeks in July, Coach Brown wanting more kids to be able to get this opportunity.

In 2005 the Medical Lake Boys Basketball Team won the school's first 2A Boys State Championship!!

From 2006-2010 the tournament has grown to 24 boys teams and 16 girls teams per week for five weeks in the month of July, the popularity of the tournament expanding as more teams wanted spots in the games.

Now we have relocated to beautiful Yakima Washington, planning to have 24 high school boys teams and 16 high school girls teams compete per week for three weeks in the month of July this year.

The Journey continues...
